Hello all,
New member here. This forum is great. I've learned a lot poking around here the last couple days... My normal EDC's are a Springfield .40 XDM compact and HK .45ACP sub-compact. I purchased my Chief's Special in 1985 and have enjoyed it ever since. I used to shoot it a lot, but haven't in a while. I've been practicing with it quite a bit lately and am really enjoying it, and would like to have it for a convenient pocket carry. What would be required to go to a snagless hammer? Many thanks in advance,

Sladep,
I put a bobed hammer on my 60-7 about 9 months ago and I really like it. I bought it off gunbroker and it also had been modified so the revolver is now double action only. I find I like it better this way; it seems much smoother. Also, I won't find myself trying to lower the hammer with a reduced spur. I wouldn' t mind cutting the spur, but I personnaly do not feel skilled enough to work on trigger bearing surfaces. At the time, S&W Customer Service had said they would bob the hammer for what I recall was a pretty reasonable fee. You might try them. Pete
