Picked this up today, a Model 66-1. Looks like it was well cared for, this is my first K frame Magnum. Can't wait to hit the range.:D

I'd say you've got good taste.

Well done, enjoy it.

Very nice !
The 66-1 like the 19-4 was the last of the P&R CM's,
The 66-2 was non P&R like the 19-5.

Your grips are interesting , I think the speed loader relief is correct but the right panel relief is usually seen on comemorative guns and opened to view the sideplate engraveing.

Very nice find. If that's your 1st k frame magnum, watch out. The desire for more may follow.

Very sweet gun!! Clear out some room in your safe, revolvers are addicting!

Thanks everyone for the comments. Took the 66 out to the range today, it shot very well. Shot mostly some of my mild magnum loads, a few full house loads and some factory stuff. Tried some of my 38spl target loads, man this gun is a shooter...:D I'm happy with the perches. Now I need to get to reloading, my 357 stash is running low.

the model 19 was my first revolver back in 1972, 2 friends picked model 27's and I chose the 19; which I thought had a nice blue luster; a local 'smith worked on the trigger & added target hammer & trigger; really nice shooter, I could not tell you how many SuperVel rounds I put through it; still have it,defiantly my favorite; when I was dating my present wife I bought her the model 66 used(back in '93)with the short barrel, for Christmas, so I thought maybe we could stay married

That is a really nice Mod 66 and I love the smoth target stocks, great grain.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
