All I can say is , glad Im retired. There were enough headaches without dealing with RMRs that won't hold adjustment, or guys that will constantly be moving them, every time they shoot the gun and it seems to group a little from where they thought it should. LAPD changes this stuff sometimes to make up for no raise or terrible work conditions. Kinda like throwing the guys a bone, so they get a gun and sight system they think will make up for a bad trigger press. May make regular qualification easier for some . Might be ok for those going through the academy that will receive many hours of training with the RMR, night shooting, bright light etc, but unfortunately, if their even is a transition class for in service who buy their own it will probably be 1 day or maybe just 1 qualification. The gun is probably as good as a glock or MP, hopefully alot of improvement from FNs first plastic guns, all I know about, which were pretty bad. Times change , I remember when night sights came out, had to have them, old guys said you would get cancer...I put one on a carry gun, like all dot sights, great for old eyes. So good luck to them.
