Hi All,

I just picked up my first M&P 9mm. Decided to go with the CORE and put a red dot on it. Has anyone done this with the Deltapoint 2 so the cowitness capability still exist?

Thanks

Haven't seen a DeltaPoint 2 installed yet ... and not on a CORE. (BTW, co-witness works with most all other well known reflex optics out now)

I just picked me my 5" CORE today as well :D (Doesn't it just look and feel VERY NICE???) and decided to go with a Burris FastFire III (should be delivered to me tomm.)... mainly due to it working basically just as good for recreational target shooting and cost half to two thirds the price of the other guys. Got mine with rail for $195 shipped (without rail would be $178) at Overstock believe it or not. For that price it's a no brainer as really I have zero need for co-witness for what I do.

I really am like you though ... waiting to see a CORE with a DP2 .... I love how slim it looks and should be a killer reflex, who knows I may upgrade all depending on how I like this FastFire III ... but this will do for me know for killer price and awesome reviews and quality.

If your looking check it out first and see what you think ... http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-...-m-p-pro-core-9mm-w-burrris-fastfire-iii.html

If you find A CORE with a DP2 post it up, I will post it as well if I find something. I think though it really is not yet released I dunno ... I haven't seen a picture form an actual owner of one yet.

Should be a killer optic though and is a descent price for a well known quality reflex. (hoping my FFIII though does the trick cause for less then 200 bucks for a pure quality reflex made for a pistol slide and comes with a Forever Warranty you can't beat it Period!).

thanks for the feedback. i will keep looking and update when i find something.

Ya from what I can tell the pre-orders and back-orders should start be filled at the end of this month ... these DP2's are from what I have been told released yet.

FastFire III came in today ... I'll be posting some pics soon in the link in my first post of it.

I have a CORE with a Luepold Delta Point 2 and the Co Witness is there. The only complaint I have with the DP2 is gonna be battery changes require we remove the whole bloody sight.

I think you're confused. :o The DP2 battery changes from the top and does NOT require removal of the sight. The DP1 changes from the bottom and requires the sight to be removed to change the battery.

Also, I don't think the DP2 has been shipped yet.

I think this will prove to be a non issue to you (and jhawk is correct, the DP2 is a battery top loader). I have been using a DP for 6 months, I shoot 6 times a week and am still on my original battery. I have 2 spares in my range bag. According to the instruction manual, the dot will start to blink when the battery gets low. Removing the sight and changing the battery will probably take 30 seconds (twice as long for me since I'm slow;)) Removing and reinstalling the sight does not change the zero. I sometimes take the DP off to shoot IDPA with my 5" if I want a change from the 4.25.

New SW MP Pro 9MM CORE/Burris FFIII

Received it last week, installed Burris FFIII this AM, all went well with zero issues...

Test fired today, had to lower the Red Dot a little to hold zero.

Next 5 shots at 7yds sitting and sandbagged were one ragged hole...

Extreamly pleased...

10yds standing, 10 shots in 3" dia.

Picture of gun is identical to above...

I will be using this handgun for target shooting 7yds to 25yds

SWMP Pro....$604.00
Burris III .....$230.00

SERIOUS!!!

$604???

Mine was $715 and I thought that was a stellar deal.

230 for the sight is about normal ... to bad you didn't know about Overstock, could have got it for about $180

But considering you got that M&P9 for basically about over a Hundred Bucks what it sells for most places you SCORED!!!

Nice to see some feedback that you like the FFIII on your CORE ... makes me more confident in my decision to go with one.

Keep me updated bro and I will do the same. :)

Michigan is always cheaper then California. I paid 595.00 and tax last fall. It's just less money here.

$604

Good price, where'd ya get it

Bought the SWMP Pro 9mm CORE at Oak Hill Ventures, Ulster, PA

Bought the Burriss FFIII at Lights and Holsters Tactical, Ulster, NJ

Ammo is Herters Russian steel case polymer coated 115Gr from Cabela's, Dundee, MI $11.99 box of 50-.....I don't reload.

*The only thing I find fault with on the SWMP 9mm is the trigger is a little too heavy at 5lbs+... for me anyway. I will get used to it or have it reworked.

I'm used to the light, crisp 1-2lb or less trigger pull on their revolvers.

I'm very pleased with the Burris FFIII, 4 settings on the 3.MOA Dot brightness intensity with very good clarity, perfect fit up to the gun...

I do not have front dot witnessing but don't really care, if I was to go to a 6'Oclock hold on the target bull I might get it but not really important to me.....maybe later ?

I shoot 3-4 days a week, mostly 22LR Precision Bench Rest 50yd, 25 Bull ARA...but as I shoot more and more SWMP9mm I will keep posting, some targets and misc.

Thanks for the post response's here.

Looking forward to seeing more info and your FFIII results and targets.

Thanks for the info ... love hearing good feedback on this reflex and makes me know I made the right decision for the price!
