New M&P Performance Center 10 MM w/5.6" barrel

New M&P Performance Center 10 MM w/5.6" barrel

I’m looking to get a 10mm pistol for protection during wilderness hiking. I’m in no hurry and I really like the idea of having a comp. I carry a Sig P365X-MACRO Comp as my EDC and love the way it shoots. Hopefully S&W will get the ammo sensitivity issue fixed soon.

I picked up a couple more mags and a Hosking chest rig. Was going to hit the range this morning but it was too muddy.

Interesting enough, the USB is no longer under the rear sight but under the RMR cut. It's held in place with a plate and a small allen screw. I removed/polished/replaced the USB and it improved the trigger pull a bit more. Smoother and the little hitch I associated with actuator slop also seems to have cleaned up some.

Picked one up today also. Been a fan of 10mm way back when a lot of ppl said it was on life support.
Anyways haven't had any issues with mag drops. Really nice factory trigger although not a ppq or Canik but still nice. No mush or creep. You hit a wall then a crisp break which then gives a very nice audible, tactile, and short reset.
Haven't had the chance to put enough rounds through it to comment on feeding or ejection issues but so far so good normal ammo. Don't have any of the hot stuff atm. Hey,Times were hard on Walton's mtn.
So far I'm really liking the gun and it shots great. Just hate the price. Realize it's a PC gun but $650 should have been tops.

I probably have well over 300 rounds through mine, mix of factory and reloads, absolutely no issues at all. For its intended use, settled on the 180 gr Hornady HAPs or XTPs, which seem readily available and will handle just about anything I'll ever run into. Trying to get everything locked down before cranking up the Dillon 550. Might tinker with some 200 grs, but if there's even a remote chance of running into something a 180 gr won't handle, my 5" 629 will be with me not some 10mm. lol

I bit the bullet and ordered one yesterday. I’ll give my impressions once I get some range time with it.

I like the looks of the pistol in the OP, but I have no need for it. The M&P in 10mm that I already have or my G20 will suffice. I have had no mags dropping out and no ftf with my M&P. I’m happy with it !

I’d probably feel the same if this weren’t my first 10mm.

mp2.0 4.6 with full Apex trigger treatment
and
mp2.0 PC -- first time shooting it today... brilliant pistol. Super soft shooting. Fabulous stock trigger. Reliable and accurate.

Targets at 15 yards (bottom 4) and 20 yards (top 2)
.. bottom 2 with 4.6; middle and top 2 with PC.

New M&P Performance Center 10 MM w/5.6" barrel

I picked up my 10mm Performance Center today. I’m waiting for a Holosun EPS MRS green optic and 180gr target ammo. I put the small back strap on it, which gave it a similar feel to my P365X-MACRO Comp as far as grip is concerned.

Your luck must be just like mine.....bad! That's exactly what usually happens to me.

I've found out it's not always good to be the first kid on the block with the newest must have toy.

It seems like that's the plan of manufacturers....come out with a new model that everyone rushes to buy, but leave off some of the important improvements. Then when sales start to slow down, introduce a new must have improvement to boost sales.

Repeat as often as necessary.

Same here, got mine back in April and still haven't used it as of August. Im wishing there was a place local to me that I can trade it in towards the purchase of the PC or is there an option to put the PC slide on ours?

Tactics

Those tactics worked on me. I really liked my 4" but the PC model is so much better shooting. No failures with either I might add. I plan on keeping the 4" even though it won't see a lot of action.
