New M34-1 Build Date

I have been wanting one of these for years and landed this one a few days ago. Looks new short of a minor turn ring. It was a consignment gun and they wanted $400 for it so home it came. SN is 223XXX. Can someone please provide a build date. Appreciated in advance.

If there is an M in front of those numbers it should be 1983 or so.
