New medium blackstrap came with my M&P .40... More texture!

That is the backstrap texture that normally comes with the Pro Series of M&Ps. WOnder if they just ran out of medium regulars are are going to start packaging in the new grips with the regular line of M&Ps.

There are many M&P owners that would like to get the ProSeries backstraps

You mean C.O.R.E not pro

And if you want to sell it or trade for a standard medium, let me know!

Which of the three are you talking about?
My 40 was made about 2/5/13, according to the box.
I will pull them from the safe and try to compare to your image.

That would be great if they sold them as an accessory, especially if they came in flat dark earth.

Sorry I should have mentioned this is from a pro series gun bought in early February. Sorry to tease anyone with the photos... but I really like the heavier texture... Wish all three had it.

I looked at mine from a early February 2013 build.
The small and the large look similar, although hard to tell for sure from the image.
However, the medium, the one in the middle does apparently have a different texture and pattern. The texture on mine is similar to the small and large. Yours has a more "gritty" looking texture in the image, like a very course sandpaper. Also, yours appears to have a pattern on it that does not have a texture.

Mine is not a pro series, it is the 206300.

Just browsed a bit on other forums... Looks like the pro series guns are now coming with a medium "core" blackstrap... I really like it!

I will buy any C.O.R.E. grips (the new ones you showed in the photo). Need to get some to practice stippling on. Anyone know where to get these??? S&W won't sell yet.

Thanks!

Here's another data point. I just got a .40 Pro yesterday and all three back straps are with the original stippling. It was test fired 7/16/12.

I got a couple medium C.O.R.E. grips and they are AWESOME. No stippling needed, they are perfect. Took one shooting on a M&P Pro Series 9mm last weekend...in the misty kinda-rain...and the darn gun stuck to my hand. Very happy with S&W on this one!
