New Member From Illinois

Welcome from West Central, Illinois,
As a standard production, I don't believe you will find a 3 inch -1 gun however, nothing is cut and dried with Smith & Wesson.
I have found so many unicorns that even the experts say don't exist, But Smith & Wesson uses all their existing parts. And many time over run frames, barrels and cylinders etc. will be put up on the shelf and from time to time they clean up that overstock and special runs will be done with those parts for distributors etc. Or just put into a shipment. That is probably the main reason you see a lot of special runs that they made only 71 of.
My favorite Roy G Jinks quote is "With Smith and Wesson all things are possible"

Greetings from another IL subject

Good Afternoon All,

New here from Illinois. I'm working on my -1 combat collection and want to know if a 66- 1 exists in 3". 66-1, 67-1 & 686-1 in 4" are already checked off the list.

Thanks!!

Greetings from Lake County, IL ... with the way things are going in this state, pretty soon the only guns we'll be able to buy will be revolvers and single-shot .22 rifles

Since the odds of finding a 66-1 in 3" is near zero, are the odds any better locating a 686-1 in 3"?

Also, thanks all the welcomes!!

Your State gets a lot of bad press because of Chicago, but due north or south of it is full of sane people. Shame the population of Chi Town runs the vote, otherwise you would be like the rest of the Midwest. Welcome aboard!
