New member from Richmond, VA (Cape Cod, MA)

I was born and raised on Cape Cod, and my father was a hunter, shooter, and firearms dealer. I moved to Richmond, Virginia, in my early twenties, and 23 years later, I'm still here.

I miss shooting, and am in the process of getting my concealed handgun permit. A friend is trying to sell me a nice old Colt .38 Diamondback. But I think my heart is set on a J-frame S&W, and that is the reason why I joined this forum.

When I was just 15 or so, a friend would show up at the local rod and gun club with a model 60 snubbie, and I could never quite get that thing to shoot where I wanted it to, even though it fit my hand so well. I am looking forward to giving it another shot!

If the Colt is fairly nice and priced anywhere decent I'd recommend a hasty adoption.

Yeah, I was talking to the owner last night, weighing the pros and cons, and he said, "You know you're going to buy the thing, why don't you just get it over with?"

A little bit of rust on the ejector lug, a few spots here and there, bore is perfect, action is tight... such a pretty gun.
