I've been using a M&P 9 for IDPA for a year . It helped me earn sharpshooter in my first year.
My uncle had retired as chief of Police. he had no kids so he passed his guns to me. A model 10 he carried as patrolman, a model 36 as detective and a model 12 as chief.
I want to add revolver to my IDPA and Steel shooting. Saturday I'm going to pick up a used model 67 in stainless and a model 19-3. I'll see which works better for me in competition.
