Great. Thanks for the quick reply. The picture does not do this gun justice. There is almost no sign of use. The guy i bought it from kept it in his closet. I was looking for snowmachine parts and somehow the subject of guns came up. I didnt figure I could go wrong. I really like this gun!

My blue steel 49 is in my pocket as I type this, just as it has been all day...
loaded with Rem 158grn +pLSWCHP....
I bought one NIB as my first backup gun when I started my career, sold it cause I thought I needed an autoloader to be cooooool. The wheel, as it is, has gone around. Mine has factory J frame magna's and a Tyler T grip, just perfect for pocket or other concealed carry...

I hate you! I joined the Air Force in 1981 and have been looking for a model 49 from this same year for awhile now.

Congratulations; she's a nice one!

I'm picking up my 2nd Bodyguard next week...a model 649 no dash from 1984/85.

He will be the perfect carry companion to my model 38 no dash Airweight Bodyguard, also from 1984/85.

I can hardly wait!

gregp, you can't go wrong with a price like that on a gun like that! :)

Glock 'em down, nice find! I'm keeping an eye out for one like that myself, or a nickel 49 like the OP's.

Great revolver and one of the most notorious of all S&W models. One was used by Gen. Nguyen Loan to execute a prisoner that made the front pages all over the world during the Viet Nem conflict. T44

Would you like to make $50. on your 49? If so contact me. <vbg> Great score and welcome to the forum
