Hi everyone! I’m new on the forum, and would like to get advice on putting a 9 mm barrel in a 40 cal m&p. Forgive me if this has been asked before! The m&p 40 is a gen 1. The barrel is a stock Smith and Wesson m&p 9 mm barrel. I have read pros and cons on doing this. I would like options from you guys . Thanks in advance !

I have a Storm Lake 40 to 9 conversion barrel for mine. It will shoot a flea off of a gnat's rear end at 25+ feet.
If you're going to convert, do it right. Buy a 40 to 9 conversion barrel.

I bought one of those Gen-1 40 police trade in pistols that were going around at the start of 2022 and found a new M&P Gen-1 9mm barrel at Midway and with a new 9 magazine it functions flawlessly.
