Hi all!

I just purchased a brand new M&P 15-22 last night at my local gun shop! It should be there in a couple days, I'm pretty pumped up about it! Is there any advice you guys/gals could give to a new owner? Any accessories you think I should get?

Congrats! Since I'm a new owner too the only advice I can give you is read a lot of these post, these people know their stuff. What model did you purchase if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome to the fold. Best advice is to buy more ammo and go shoot. The forum is great. If you can't find what you need with a search, you should get several answers fairly quickly.

I went with the base line mp15-22. The only thing I wish it had was a threaded barrel! I got a hell of a deal at the local gun shop and had to do it!

Yeah I got the standard model too, but I love it. And yeah I want a threaded barrel too, oh well though, still fun as hell

Welcome! The first things I would buy would be a few boxes or bulk packs of different types of ammo to see which of them your 15-22 likes best. Accessories depend on what you plan to do with yours. Look at other threads to get some ideas. Most of all, have fun!

welcome to the forum...before you buy ammo check the owners manual as it explains there are a couple of brands that don't work as well (remington) is one...have fun/be safe
