I recently bought my first gun and since I have a lot to learn, I registered to the forum. I went with the S&W 627 PC - it will be used for home protection. During the CL class I was told to get the biggest gun I can afford - now if I can only figure out the different ammo

fred c live in Wyoming, did hunt elk,mule deer antelope varments target shooting. Can't hunt much due to 4 back surgerys. Not much with pistols but am getting started. I have ccw and use it. I'm interested how the Smith xds is for concealed carry. I'm using a Taures 9mm slim and a Smith bodyguard. I think I would rather have a 45
