New Michelin Tires

Interesting concept. Curious about the composite material. Soft when hot, brittle if cold? How flexible? With the advances in material design maybe someone came up with a workable, all purpose design. Great idea if it works.
How much sand, mud or snow do you think that tire could hold?

Interesting for desert use, but don't look like the best option for Alabama mud.

They'd only pack one side full so you'd get that pleasant bouncing ball ride.

'Airless' tires have come and gone before. They don't stay long because the ride is very harsh.

they look like they would be great for driving over those spiked strips the state troopers love to put across the road. Those things uaually ruin a whole set of tires.

They put a similar honeycomb style tire on John Deere high end zero turn mowers about 3 years ago. Haven't heard much about how they are holding up.

Might work better if it had flexible sidewalls to keep mud and rocks out.
