New model 18-3

Scary to say, but $800 for an excellent copy of a vintage M18 is about the norm now. If it came with the box and papers even more! I've never regretted spending a few extra dollars for a firearm that was worth it. Remember, there are very very few "bargains" out there! Those who try and save a few bucks usually wind up spending more in the long run and have nothing but a refinished or repaired revolver that will never be the original.

Very nice! There's hardly even a turn ring, and looks overall pristine. Any signs of even being fired elsewhere on the gun?
I think you did OK and long term you'll be very pleased.

The Model 18 is my favorite revolver. I have two 18-3s myself. One of them almost always finds it way into my bag on almost every range trip.
Its a great gun for practicing DA shooting. I give my 18-3s full credit for teaching me how to properly shoot a DA revolver. :D

And yes, $800 is about the normal price these days. ;)

I bought a Model 18 "no dash" 4 screw a couple of years ago at the LGS. $850. No regrets. Those .22 S&W's are FUN. I think you will get many years of enjoyment from that revolver.
