Do S&W model 360 revolvers come in calibers other than 357 mag??
Some people at work know I have some guns and like to shoot them so one guy came to me this morning and asked me if I would be interested in buying some of his father's guns...his father is elderly and not "doing well". He has one gun on the list that I found interesting. On the list is a "S&W Model 360 Airweight in 38 Special". He said the list was made by a gun shop employee who "knows guns". I don't own a model 360 but I've always thought 360 were all in 357 magnum caliber. A quick internet search showed only 357 mag revolvers.
So, are there model 360 in 38 special caliber??
There were 3 other guns on the list and I told him I'm interested in all 4 so get back to me with a price.

yes,,, for what ever reason S&W made 38 special only 360's when they pretty much use a different model number for every other revolver

S&W made a 360J for the Japanese police. I've had 2. one was marked 38 and the other 38+P. Still have the +p version.

Several years ago there was a flood of 360J's in .38 that hit the market.

They were from a Japanese PD order that was canceled, or something happened where the Japanese PD didn't take the..

The hit the market originally with a low price tag and I think I picked mine up for around $300 or so.

I had TK Customs work on the cylinder so it would also fire 9mm and added a Big Dot sight.

That 360J looks nice.
I prefer 38 Special.

BTW good to see someone else use those Bianchi Lightning grips. I have them on my M60 and a Model 13.

At the time I was shooting it more with the 9mm and the Lightnings gave a better grip and covered the hammer.

Due to the slight differences between the 360J and a regular J frame I did have to do a little internal modification to get a good fit.
