Picked it up today.

The serial number dates to '73-'74.

3" model 37 no dash, square butt.

No box and it came with Compac Pachmayr grips.

I'd rather have the original grips, but I like the Compacs. Perhaps I'll check ebay for a set of J frame square but grips.

I have a question. Will an aluminum gun like this Airweight be OK with Critical Defense 110 gr standard pressure (not +P) ammo? Or is there a problem with frame cutting with light weight bullets?

There is no frame cutting visible at this point.

Looks nice. It should be fine with any standard pressure .38 Specials but may not shoot to point of aim with 110 gr loads (low?). Any firing may cause etching of the top strap near the forcing cone but I think of flame cutting as more typical of hot .357 loads.
