Picked up a "new" 52-2, with box and 2 magazines. It seems to be an extraordinary pistol. Surprised by how well it is made. There is a custom trigger shoe attached with very tiny allen screws. Original cost was $185.00 in 1972 according to papers in the box. Never cheap, that is a little over $1,000 in 2015 dollars. The trigger is so much smoother than either of my two model 41 pistols:

Congratulations! The 52 is one of the all time greats. Love mine, also shoot my mod 41's almost daily.

You're gonna love it! You'll probably have to make your own wadcutter loads since commercial wadcutter target loads are real hard to find. I have a late production (1992) 52-2 and my older 52-1 from competition days and they are both the most satisfyingly accurate handguns. Enjoy!

Sold my Series 70 Gold Cup when I got my 52 back in the early 80's. It's great target pistol.:D

Congrats!

I own a 52-1 that I bought a couple of years back. I found a grip-type scope mount for it and added a red dot sight. It absolutely puts the bullet exactly where it's pointed.

I found some 148gr WC's, and put them over Bullseye powder. Nice and mild, and perfect for 25 yards.

Enjoy!
