Per Corinto:
"Hi folks,
It's my first post on the forum though I've been reading here for a few months. I'm also interested in the new 3" bbl Model 63 which has an 8 round cylinder. Would one expect the trigger pull from this new model to be stiffer or smoother as compared with the older S&W .22lr six shooters? Thanks for your input."
Corinto, there is no telling how nice the trigger will be on any standard, out-of-the-box S&W revolver. Each one is at least a little unique. But if by "older" you mean S&W six shooters made 50 years ago, expect a stiffer trigger.
The good news is that they get better with use, and a S&W always can be slicked up by a competent gunsmith. If a new trigger really is bad, call S&W. They'll take care of the problem at no cost to you, including free shipping. My 5" 63 was slicked up at the factory and is sweet.
