Right on, appreciate the advise. I actually have the 15-22 pretty well setup how I want it. Ordered most stuff for the 15 now as well. Just little confused about the flash hider removal/reuse, gas block removal, and hand guard install. I think I have it figured out, now just where to order and tools needed. I also have changed my mind and am now looking at a 200 dollar Troy brand quad rail. I found it in stock at brownells, but they don't have the gas block. So I figure ill look at the Troy website. So they appear to have both pieces in stock, but their site seems condescending. Basically says, yeah buy our stuff but don't call us to find out where the stuff I paid my hard earned money for is. Just seems a bit backwards. I guess this is the climate we have created, where vendors have more power than the consumer. Just an observation

The Daniel Defense products are high end. They demand a pretty good price but typically for a reason.
I am quite certain the unit you provided a link for allows you to install the free floating quad rail without having to remove the existing barrel nut. I have a 7" free floating Omega on my OR and it was very simple to install. No cutting, no slicing, no dicing...just the supplied allen wrench they provided and one of your own screwdrivers. Of course, if your gas block is too large, then that is a different issue and will require other tools to remove and reinstall it.
I am pretty sure the UTG rail requires barrel nut replacement.
Just for reference, here is the Omega 7" quad rail install I did. It might help you figure out some more parts to your puzzle.
