Every evening, on my drive home from work, I have noticed progress on a new building being erected. It is a large building. Today I noticed a sign out in front of it and was quite happy to see who that was responsible. It looks like Smith and Wesson's headquarters and I will now share the same hometown. I can't lie. It makes me a little sad that they will be moving from their historical home.

Don't fret. :(
Massachusetts still has it's historical S&W's manufacturing base. Their plastics plant in Connecticut and warehouse in Missouri are the plants closing and moving to your neighborhood.

I think they should give New England states the heave ho and move everything somewhere else. Not my call.

Please don't lump "the New England states" into what Massachusetts has going. The freedoms we're allowed to enjoy in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are a far cry from what goes on in Massachusetts. Smith & Wesson still operates the Houlton plant and is one of the larger employers up there.
New Hampshire is home to Sig Saur and Ruger. No need for manufacturers to leave northern New England.

At the risk of perhaps overanalyzing your wording, the mindset of this sentence is wrong. Don't accept that government allows your freedoms. The purpose of government is to protect your freedoms. It would be correct to say that the freedoms of those in Massachusetts have been violated far more than the freedoms of those in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Agreed. Im just trying to stick up for northern New England. We have constitutional carry, no foolish magazine bans, no ammo restrictions, no crazy "approved list".

I pro'ly can't say what I'd like, here. I'd get a ding, or worse.

New England has been the firearm manufacturing headquarters since the beginning of our nation. The Colonies fought for freedom from England only so they could treat citizens like slaves. Every year they dictate more restrictions.

Makes me feel good that they are all moving out - no more tax money for the commies.

I just live 20 minutes away in Loudon Co. and my brother lives in Blount Co. I'm sure I've driven by there but need to drive over and take a look. I'm headed to Blount tomorrow to pick up some peaches and see what's new or old at Bills Outpost and will take a look.

I hope their repair and custom shops are relocating here. I also hope they relocate revolver production here too. We have plenty of highly skilled machinists here.
