I was at my dealer picking up a gun I had bought online, and he shows me this gun I've never seen before.
I was not at all familiar with the CZ brand, but fell in love with it when I saw it.
It won't arrive at my ffl until Monday, so not long to wait.

I may also have my mags engraved like this:

You will love it

My son has a TSO; it is a fine shooting pistol.

I used to have a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow. It was a mouthful to say, but a dream to shoot. CZ's have their quirks, but overall fine pistols with lovely triggers when the work is done well. The Shadow 2 is basically a custom gun, run as a production model. They tend to be very reliable and have fantastic triggers OTB. Congrats on acquiring a beautiful range/competition gun. Here's a photo of the ol girl from back when we were together

I've got a CZ TSO in 9mm. One of my favorite shooters. Very impressed with CZ. Give us a range report please. Enjoy.

I finally got to fondle one of these at my LGS today. It was the gray finish; totally impressed but the only thing that turned me off was the manual safety; it was so flush that getting a thumb on it was impossible. If there were an aftermarket replacement matching what I have on a couple of 1911s I'd be all in. Thoughts/suggestions?

Well go ahead and order one!! The Shadow 2 comes with an alternate style safety that stands out further. This photo is a screen grab of it, grabbed from an unboxing video.

I have a 01 version of it.I've let a couple of my friends try it...just as they announced the 02.They both bought it(the 02).Of course, they let me try it.I liked it a lot. While I won't let my 01 get away from me(it's been customized to fit me),it is one heck of a gun.
My CZ is not for sale.....and that comes from a 300% 1911 45acp guy!
Enjoy your new toy!
P.S.:the 01(or all cz 75 from which it is derived)have a weakness;the slide stop breaks after between 25k and 35k rounds.Dunno if it has been solved but I carry a spare one in my shooting bag.

Congratulations! CZ makes great pistols. I've had a 75b for years as well as this 97B

Also picked up a CZ-75 TS last year.

I just caught that little detail doing some other searches. Nice that it's already provided. Thanks for the tip.

The safety with the large flange comes in the box, but I've read they're difficult to install.
Looks like it's Youtube time.

Great choice!
I highly recommend the Cajun Gun works 54440 Ultra-Lite kit. My Shadow 2 Blue went from a 8lb DA & 3.5lb SA to 7lb & 3lb. Using the 11.5lb spring. I also went with some Lokgrips that are simply amazing & worth every penny.
They are amazing shooters, you will really enjoy it!

Man, I have heard these newer CZs are real shooters, nothing like my old CZ75 pre-B model (which is ~service pistol accurate)

While I like my old '75, I could really become interested in an Orange model (TSO)

You will love it! I have shot mine in USPSA production category. It is awesome.

I'm the o/p....
Took it to the range the day I picked it up.
Just wiped it down and went shooting.
Not one hiccup... very nice groups.
Really like this one.
My mags are currently at the shop being engraved as shown in photo above.
