Hey everyone! I was able to add a S&W M3000 to my collection off of the local classifieds! I've checked high and low on older posts and it came to my attention that there are very limited attachments for it. Has anyone had any luck modifying 870 parts to fit? I've heard back and fourth that some stocks may work while other may not. I do know that there are specific S&W sticks and grips/etc. that work but finding them is more difficult than getting my hands on the shotgun in the first place…

I love mine. Don't know what other models are interchangeable but I think I've heard that the 870 is pretty close.

I keep mine as is, it's just too good to change. Shoots everything, from birdshot to slugs.

Hmmm might have to fiddle with some attachments. I love it, feels way smoother than my old 870 (traded a way a while back).

Somebody should be along who knows. I got my info from an older gent probably 25 years ago , who was a Browning fanatic, so I just took him at his word.

I've got three of them. Long tube parked, short tube parked, and long tube folding stock. I've shot all of them a lot and find them to be just as reliable as any other riot gun I've carried during an almost 44 year LEO career. I wouldn't change anything about it.

1Sctual3 best I can tell from photo your M-3000 is the 12ga police parked model with 18" bead barrel, factory 2 round mag extension and desirable aftermarket SpeedFeed forend and stock that allows for carrying 4 spare rounds. Looks to be in excellent shape not beat rusted from bouncing around in trunk of cruiser. Unlikly to find spare parts on shelf of LGS but if you are net savvy shouldn't be difficult to track down parts if you ever need them. Quality built by Howa Japan it's metric so parts will not interchange with M870. Use it don't abuse it and you should be fine. Choate Tool offers mag extensions for the M-3000, original factory accessories getting harder to find, owners rarely part with them. I'd leave the present configuration as is, tough to improve on it imo.
