Well I've been wanting one since they first came out so I finally bought one today M&P 22 compact. After reading all the good reviews on this forum I started looking and found one on sale $329.95 with a free box of winchester M&P 222 rounds. This is my first semi 22cal pistol. I like how easy it is to
field strip. Heading to the range tomorrow morning for some fun. I might just leave my 617 at the house.

You will love the gun. I've stopped shooting my model 63 since I bought mine. So far I have shot CCI AR Tactical and Federal Automatch rounds with no problem. Very accurate, easy to break down and clean. After a day of shooting my 63 it was a project to clean it. The 22C I can clean in half the time. :)

Thats the very reason I bought mine. I own a 4" & 6" 617 that I love to shoot but very time consuming cleaning them. This will give me a little break.

Update went to the range this morning with my new 22 compact. This little gun is amazing I shot close to 350rds with it CCI standard,Blazer,Winchester Super-X and the Winchester M&P that came free with the pistol. It ran everything fine except for a few M&P that were duds. I really like the trigger on this gun that surprised me. Over all I couldn't be happier with how this pistol performed. The winchester m&p ammo was a big disappointment some of the rds sounded like 22 shorts when fired. Maybe I just got a bad box.

Glad you like the pistol, it's on my radar. As far as the ammo, they're all bad boxes these days, not sure why quality control has gone south so badly.

Congrats on the MP22! Been wanting one for a while. Problem is, they are not Mass compliant. S&W being located in Mass makes it that much worse. I checked with S&W and they have no plans on making it Mass compliant... I havent bought a S&W product since nor will I.

Have full size MP22 and love it. Need to get the compact next.
Congrats and enjoy.

Congrats!

I love mine. It's my favorite 22 pistol to plink with. It eats any kind of 22 I put in it. Enjoy the great gun!
