took a look at a new production one to day at the Minot AFB BX. Aside from the frame lock, which I can't stand, looks like a pretty nice piece.

Anything I need to know about the new production ones? Can the Goncalo Alves target grips fit these?

They probably work fine. With a few exceptions, I think current production guns have round butt grip frames, so older factory target stocks will not fit. With the large numbers of police turn-in model 67s available, you may want to look at an older version if you have a local dealer off-base that can handle a transfer.

Was the AFB affected by the flooding?

thanks for the info, as to the base being affected. No, the base is about 12 miles north of town, the town lies within a river valley while the base in on high plains

Recently bought one as my first gun and really like it a lot.

I've been thinking of getting the 67 for some time now. There are a lot of older NL 64's for sale but I really want the adj sights. Bud's online has new 67's for about $600. The used ones I have seen online are usually $450ish. For $150 I'd much rather save up and get the new one. Besides, the used ones I've seen have a zillion tiny holster-wear scratches. S&W will refinish them in satin stainless for about $200, so I might as well just get a new one.

Since Model 67s are stainless, it is easy to polish and remove minor scratches and holster wear, etc. There is rarely a need to have a Stainless revolver refinished unless you really want the dull finish from bead blasting.

Hope this helps.

Yes, mine was $604 I beleive from Bud's.

I've seen several used model 67s currently for $419 online, and I think they are a bit high for the current market. Some careful shopping should find one at about $350-375.

Picked up a 1973 Model 67 no dash (top left) LNIB with stainless rear site for $400 as well as a 1984 Model 67-1 LNIB for $425 (top right).

SS version of the blued Model 15 ,

I have handled the newer Model 67 RB with heavy barrel but I prefer the older ones.
