New production S&W WITHOUT IL!!!

Frankie2blue, the grip safety doesn't bother me. I use a pretty high choked up hold on a Centennial anyway; it's how they were designed to be held. Even one-handed is no problem. I don't think the new ones can be disabled. I like it very well. I don't notice the extra weight over an Airweight, not with a proper holster.

Now this is the topic I've been waiting for to make my first post. This is awesome news. Now if only I could get them to have a blued version of almost all their models and have them use the old style blue finish, I would be in heaven.

If they ever did that, and I am not holding my breath for them to remove all the locks, revert to old style finish etc., it would certainly have a huge impact on the used gun market. I can even deal with some MIM parts if I had to, but no way I can do the lock. Of course Ruger could do themselves a big favor by scraping the die that stamps those stupid warnings on the barrel of every gun.

The lock is just the latest thing I don't like. The firing pin being moved from the hammer is another. And not being able to find anything in blue anymore is just driving me insane!

No wonder I like the old guns so much
