Just picked up my new BG today ( KBJ series) and checked the Allen screw securing the laser and it was lose. No loctight either. They either missed mine or have become lazy. Other than that it looks like a great gun. Just a big heads up to not assume your laser screw is tight and sealed. I think they are including two mags now as my Dad and I both got two mags with the two BG's we ordered from PSA on sale for $269. What a deal. I will check my Dads gun later and update if his is also lose.

Here it is and my Dad's was lose also. But it looked like it did have some kind of something on the threads. It didn't help much as it came out easily.

Mine did the same thing...but the brass threaded insert came out!! Sent it back...got it back in 8 days total...they replaced the frame. I still have some issues with FTF's with some ammo and I installed MagGuts to add an extra round and make the slide lock back on last round. Gonna get rid of it first chance I get....

The brass threads came out on mine yesterday too. S&W answered my first email only offering to replace the laser. I reiterated that the threads came out so I'm hoping for a better resolution. Now that I have seen your post, I am hoping they do the same for me and replace the frame since I am not sure there is any other way to fix it right.

It's a shame that S&W has not stomped these fires out completely. This is not a plastic model kit, it's a CCW that needs to be 100% or it's useless. I've had 100% success with mine (EBNxxxx) but addressed all the issues beforehand. Nobody should have to goo and gaum a Smith and Wesson pistol together to have it function correctly. Unfortunately, some is required on this.

If you want the laser to work like it should, you should do the YouTube Q-Tip button fix, fuse together the seams of the laser diode cover with a soldering iron, J-B Weld the PEM nut back in place and use blue Loctite on the screw threads.

So, basicly you're buyong a Do-It-Yourself Defensive Pistol Kit?

Unacceptable.

My screw never backed out on my BG380 when I still owned it, but then again I added blue loctite as soon as I read that it could be an issue. The best thing they did was offer it without the laser.
