New Sear for SD??

Note it says for Sigma VE and not SD. My gut tells me that is intentional.

Papa_D, good find. The terminology "Sigma VE" is confusing, as BlueArch91 noted. So I sent an email to Galloway to ask about this part, and BlueArch91 was right, as shown by the response I received:

No it doesn't fit them all, the Sigma is the SWVE hence why it says it fits the Sigma VE pistol.
The quick sear gives a shorter reset and pull, also it makes the pull more crisp.
To lessen the pull weight on the SDVE series of pistol you want our spring kit.

Here was the question I sent to Galloway:

"As you know, there are a number of variants of this pistol line: the original Sigma, the SW9VE, the SW40VE, the SD9, the SD40, the SD9VE, and the SD40VE. They are very similar in design but there have been some changes over the years. Which ones does your part fit?"

I think the answer indicates this part fits only Sigmas -- those with the SW prefix in the model.

I can't imagine Galloway coming out with a new product geared specifically towards the Sigma. Makes no sense to me.

There are a boatload of Sigmas out there still waiting for improvement. Earlier this year Apex came out with their trigger and spring package which included a sear spring. I contacted Apex to find out what benefits the sear spring offered since my spring kit did not include one. I was told that the sear spring was for Sigmas and SW’s.
