I picked up the 9 mm Shield this morning after I spent a month or so reviewing other options. I must say that I will be selling my Glock .40 I used to carry as a backup weapon on duty, and will carry the Shield in its place, stacked with Winchester Ranger T-Series LE rounds.

It is way smoother than the Glock 43, in my opinion. What's more important is that it has a higher factory magazine capacity. Did I mention that S&W has a better LEO price than I could get with Glock?

If you're considering a Shield, go shoot one, but you might wanna take your debit card with you. After shooting it, I all but guarantee you that you'll leave the store with one of your own.

Congrats on the new gun and more sensible caliber

The Shield is a great gun and was my first in the M&P line. So far my only issue with it is that it loves to eat ammo which gets expensive! Liked it so much I picked up an M&P 40c a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it too. Both conceal really well and are extremely accurate for their size.

Great M&P Shield Video Review

Here is one of the best M&P Shield video reviews I have seen, and recently I've seen a lot. LOL
