New Shield

Well 4 months and 3 waiting lists later, I finally have a new 9mm Shield. The Tampa Bay market is a tough one to find this gun in.

I have owned a Kahr CM9 and Beretta Nano and neither can hold a candle to my Shield 9mm.

I have no interest in owning another ccw. My Shield is such a pleasure to shoot and with the low profile rear XS sight I pocket in my slacks 10 hours a day using the Desanti.

I would recommend you pick up a couple 7 round magazines. The 8 round is nice but I prefer the flush magazine.

Congrats. The Shield 9mm is a terrific gun. I've shot many hundreds of rounds through mine and thoroughly enjoy it. It's a lot of fun to shoot and easy to carry.

And BTW welcome to the forum, and the M&P line of pistols. Smiths are great guns, I have 3 at the moment, and yes the Shield is getting a lot of attention right now because it's the new kid in town, and that gets some folks out of sorts, but as you'll find out (if you haven't already) The whole of the M&P line is worthy of your future considerations. I think it will make the brand stronger, & sell more of the line, & perhaps more S&W's in general. which is a good thing.
