Always wanted the .40 but could never find it. I have the 9mm that I paid $440 for awhile ago, and today at a gun show I paid 370$ for this beauty, brand new! Not to mention getting ammo for the .40 is fairly easy these days! Pretty pumped!

This was my planned next purchase but an AR pistol decided to peak my interest a bit more.

Congrats on your purchase, that's a good price.

SamB..

I have been looking for a good deal and you just found one - great price. Mind telling where the gun show was located. I am near the Pittsburgh area and the 9mm Shield is $530-550.

If you would, share how the performance of the weapon goes on the firing range. Thanks and congratulations!

Apologies; I am near the Pittsburgh area and the 9mm Shield is $430-450.

Absolutely

I have paid for two 9mm shields and both were 440$

As I walked the show, which was in Va (I can give you the exact dealer if you want) most guys were selling them for 420-440. I wanted one when they first came out, but I had no intention of buying the .40 at the show.

BUT I came across one guy selling one for 390 and he had 1 left. I was afraid to not buy it right then. But lucky for me my 5 year old wandered down to a dealer who, along with firearms, was selling little toy guns, and he had the shield .40 for $370.00
I made sure it was new, came with two mags and didn't hesitate.

I actually just got back from the range, and shot my XDs .45, my tcp738, along side of this new shield.

As far as the shield, it has some hefty shoes to fill since my carry gun is either my shield 9mm or my XDs .45 and both are phenomenal. And I say that so that when I say the .40 is impressive, it gives you an idea and some context. It handles the recoil better than my XDs, (which I understand is a 230gr .45) but it is smooth. The trigger requires patience. But we all know that. Keep shooting, it gets better.

Overall I'm so happy I made the switch from the 9mm to the .40 and the shield platform is one of the best.

Hey everyone, new to the site and gun ownership. Just purchased the Shield 9 online thru GunsAmerica. Paid $389 plus $20 to ship. I fired the Glock 26, M&P Shield 40, M&P 9c and M&P Shield 9. All great guns but decided on the Shield 9. Should be here in a few days.

You can order a Shield 9mm from Palmetto State Armory. I just received an e-mail today showing them back in stock at $359. Sportsman's Outddoor Super Store normally sells them for $379 when in stock. Free shipping.

Gunbroker at times has them for right at $400 shipped then you have to pay your FFL I`m lucky to have a FFL that charges me $15.

If you need an ffl to do the transfer go to the guy on Neville island down from the ice arena. He may have one in stock or be able to get you one for a decent price.

Thanks Bozz10 and you other guys who have bracketed a good target for low purchase and options. Will check the Armory web site now. These forums are fantastic for information!

I bought a .40 for $359 a couple months ago from them. Great gun, great price and a good experience with them.

Kinda like you; I wanted the .40 but couldn't find one.
Bought a 9mm with a CT Laserguard. Let my wife shoot it
and she took it. :( Next day, found a .40 and bought it. Got
a CT Laserguard for it from Midway on sale. Sometimes, things
just work out. ;)
