New Shield

I just picked up a new Shield w/o the safety, I am going to the range on Friday I will let you know haw it goes. Cleaned and lubed it tonight.

Good choice, I have had mine a year. Got a good price on it, done a couple of worthwhile mods. I can keep a 2" group out to 15 yards. I have shot about 1000 rounds and no failures of any kind. It is my carry pistol and carry it I do. Good luck, good shooting, be safe.

Congrats you'll love it. I carry it more than anything else now. Have fun be safe. It'll run, Check your aim point with your carry ammo.

I shoot with two friends that have Shields. They love them and shoot well with them. A shield is on my short list......for sure. Congratulations on yours.

Pick up the same one as you (9mm for me) Monday and took it out today and put 150 rounds down range. Nice pistol to shoot. I had already put Tru Glo fiber optic night sights on it and the talon grip. Did a little fluff and puff on internals and she shoots very nice!!!

I would also like to extend my CONGRATULATIONS on a fine choice! But just out of curiosity, which caliber Shield did you purchase?

Congrats on yours. I bought one (9mm) for my wife a couple of months ago and enjoyed shooting it so once I color filled hers in pink of course I was too manly to shoot it so picked up another. Both without the safety. Really like them. We probably have 500 rounds through hers and about 100 through mine. I had Trijicon HD's put on mine a couple of weeks ago and shipped the slide and trigger bar to a vendor in CA to install the striker block and blue line trigger from the Apex kit for me. Should have it back next week and I'll install the seer and the rest of the kit and get shooting again.

Just picked up mine this week, cleaned it up and went to the range today and ran 100 rounds through it. I am very happy with it. Very accurate and the trigger is great. Not seeing any reason to mod the trigger.

Congratz.
Picked mine up yesterday! Changed out the LCI and a good cleaning/lube. Off to the range this week.

Last July I was leaning towards buying a Glock 43 and until I arrived at a gun shop that had guns for rent which included a G43 and a Shield 9mm. After firing 25 rounds through both I knew it was time to buy a Shield! The trigger on the G43 was simply too darn stiff despite the lower 5.5lb spec. Add to that the lower price of the Shield and higher capacity mags. Shortly afterwards I picked up a 9mm Shield and liked it so much I picked up a 45 Shield not long ago!
