guys, i was all jacked up about the sideplate screws i got today, and in the process of selling. but i think i have a problem, that i might have to deal with on these screws.
i used my model 66 as a test.
the flat head screw is same size and works fine
the strain screw and midddle screw on sideplate are the same length..
i took middle screw out of 66 side plate, put new blue screw in and it worked fine.
i took cylinder strain screw out and put new blue screw in the gun.they were same length
the cylinder was stiffer to open and not as free
what could be wrong. i dont want to send out a bunch of screws to guys ,and not have them work.

The yoke screw (front sideplate screw) needs to be fit to the gun. In the middle position there isn't an issue, but the yoke screw has to be shortened slightly, just enough so when it is tight it doesn't bind the yoke. Changing screws isn't as simple as it would appear. There isn't anything wrong except not knowing that you need to fit this screw, not just screw it in.
