New Smith & Wesson 625 Apex Custom Purchase

So, can anyone tell me about the USPSA and getting started shooting their courses?

I am going down to fill out my paperwork to get my new Apex Tactical S&W 625-8 4" out of CA purgatory tomorrow. Man, I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. I will be picking up all the extra equipment but I will have to wait the mandatory 10 days before I can lay hands on it. Auuuugh!

I just got back from filling out all my paperwork and 10 days from today and my new gun will be mine. I checked out her trigger pull and I am VERY IMPRESSED as was the shop owner and a fellow patron. I have felt much worse on single action semi-autos and that is saying something considering I'm talking about a double action only revolver.

I also picked up all my new goodies and are busy playing with and sorting through them all. It feels sort of like a late Christmas but who's complaining; NOT ME! :D

With all the guns that have come and gone there is obviously a reason that they have been producing these since ~ 1917. An idea this good is hard to improve on. Nice shooting Dave.

I'm considering the purchase of a case of 45 Auto +P Federal HST 230 Grain Hollow Point LE Ammo P45HST1 ammo for carry use in my new 4". I would like your educated opinions on the subject. It will not be for range work of course other than me practicing with it but to carry for personal defense.

The way things are going in California as regards to ammo sales; I want some spare ammo around the house. :)
