Last week while cruising the Colt Forum I came across
a thread titled ("Mother Lode of Colt SAA's).
Had to open that one up.
Sooo....based on some of the pics listed by that OP
I could tell they were located at a Cabela's.

Check out all of Cabela's gun libraries...no luck.
So, I sent the OP a message and he upped the Cabela's
location.
One phone call later I scored 4 of the 8 that Cabela's had
purchased.

All third gens from 1995-2019...all boxed with paperwork.
All excellent plus.

1. 32.20 7.5 inch
2. 45colt 5.5 one-piece stags....
3. 45colt I scored here in our classified's about two weeks ago.
4. 38/40 5.5 with ajax grips.
5. 44/40 4 3/4 with Buffalo Bro. stocks.

Hoping I have some SAA grips that will fit the 44.40 and the
38.40 in my grip box at my shop.

The main reason for the pursuit....price.
With my Po-Po discount I have $1445.00 each in the four.
Decent for nice third gens.

I have bought trucks faster that it took the Cabela's staff
to finish up the paperwork on all four.
Each document was inspected by THREE different employees.

Those are all great looking guns! I’m a fan of the stags. I’ve been buying a few Cabelas guns I’ve hunted down off the used section of the website and can commiserate with you on their paperwork efficiency. I do my best to turn my frustration on how long it takes them to wrap everything up into amusement. I’m in CA so I have to go back in after a government prescribed wait so I get a 2 for 1 on the spectacle.

Nice find my friend, congrats!

I have only two Colt's SAA's in my current inventory.....a 7.5" 2nd Gen in .357 Mag and a recently acquired 1901 production FRONTER SIX SHOOTER that I just sent off for a letter on.
