Here is 5 in. Model 27-2, shipped May, 1973, with a new set of elk antler stocks by Executioner. The stocks are beautiful and fit the frame to a tee. Great work. Thanks Patrick!

That is a beauty. The stags are the only improvement you can make to a model 27. Beautiful gun.

GRIPS

NICE SET OF GRIPS, AND GUN, I HAVE SEVERAL PAIR THAT PATRICK MADE, HE DOES OUTSTANDING WORK.

The stocks look great and that's a nice 5-inch.

All I can say is dito, dito. I'm crying but very happy for you. If you shoot it, a range report and more pics would be great. More pics even if you never shoot it.

Beautiful ! But I must say that I hate to see such a beauty standing upon a brick wall. I prefer velvet ;)

Your Model 27 is beautiful indeed, and is perfectly set off by those lovely stags. This model Smith & Wesson has been, for me, the most elegant of revolvers; so much so that I have several of them, except for one in 5" barrel length! I'm envious, to say the least, but I must congratulate you on your acquisition. I will continue my search for that elusive five-incher - I know there's one out there somewhere for me!

Thanks to all for the kind words. I sincerely appreciate it,
I bought this gun new in 1973, and it's been with me ever
since. It has not been fired since leaving the factory.
When it was placed on the brick wall, believe me, it was done with tender loving care.

How does one get in touch with the person who made the stocks? Thanks

You can visit his homesite here on the forum by clicking on his name "Executioner" on one of his posts, or e-mail him -
[email protected]. He is in Colorado, does outstanding work, and is very easy to deal with.
Good luck,

Here is a set of Patrick's grips on my 27-2. I have bought several of his grips and all of them fit like a glove.

GEEEEEEEEZ! Now you guys have me wanting a pair!

I had one just like that in the early to mid-1980s..shot great but i made the mistake of selling it as I am not much of a .357 Magnum shooter... Bought another one just like it but was NIB back about 2003.....sold it without firing it...

Great looking gun!!!

To the person wanting to know how to contact Patrick (Executioner), he's a member here and even has a current N frame stag grip ad running right now in the classifieds here . . . with something like six different sets pictured. I believe the poster of this thread just bought one of those six . . . for that set does look like one of 'em, IIRC.

Also Patrick will make you exactly what you want if you contact him, and make them with no bark, little bark, lots of bark, etc. and make them thicker or thinner if you need or prefer.

Best of all, he's both good AND very fast. I've found his turnaround time to make me what I want has always been MUCH less than a week!!! Wow! His communication is always incredible and he'll shoot you photos as he's building a custom spec'ed set for you.

Highly recommended . . . Patrick of Grashorn Gunworks, Greeley, CO.

Here are some of mine, starting with my favorite N frame shooter, and getting smaller . . .
