The latest coffee study suggests that you'll live longer if you drink coffee, decaf included.

However, other coffee benefits, inc. limiting liklihood of developing Alzheimer's, applies only to regular coffee.

Too late, I drink black every morning,
I think that was yesterday. I'll do it again yesterday!:D

Coffee had better be good for you. The other way around, and I'm already toast.

I gave up on wimpy coffee a year or so back and now drink just espresso that I make from a serious high pressure Italian machine that I got through Amazon. I go through three or four doppios just to get going in the morning, and then have up to five more in the course of the day. Sometimes I froth milk, sometimes not. I still don't have any trouble going to sleep, but it does help a bit waking me up and seems to help keep me awake if I am of a mind to make that happen.

All those grounds go into the compost bin in the side yard. I have the most hyperactive and over-caffeinated earthworms on the planet. They can reduce a new bucket of orange and banana peels to dirt in a day and a half. I would not want to lose my balance and fall in there while trying to dump the new garden and kitchen waste.

I drink lots and I'm not supposed to. Someone tell me that it regenerates your liver and I will quote the SW Firm to get the naysayers off my back. Somebody, anybody, never mind I'll just make it up and say I read it somewhere. That's a reliable source in my family.

I'll drink all sorts of stuff but coffee isn't one of them. Man I love the smell but can't stand the taste.

I love my coffee (drinking some right now). Ever since I started drinking coffee I have become rich, have a ton of guns, the wife still loves me, the grass in the yard is always green and never needs mowing, the birds always sing, their is absolutely no crime in my town, the gas company no longer charges me for fuel, the electric company and cell phone service doesn't charge me - sorry, I lost control gang! :D

The amount of cash spent every year on "studies" in this world is beyond reasonable. Most of them are done very poorly, or are biased in one or more ways to "prove" someone's point.
You notice we never are given detailed analysis of the study in question, just the conclusions. Only about half the time do we even find out where it was done and who did it. Ever wonder why? Dig this stuff out, and often the whole motivation behind the study becomes obvious.

Even and odd years, coffee is good or bad for you, same thing about eggs, milk, and so much more. Who here really believes that having eggs 2 or 3 times a week is bad for you? The egg yolk has recently been discovered to contain proteins and enzymes that fend off dementia.

I've been drinking strong regular coffee since I was a child. My mama started me! When as a seminary student I worked in the ship yard I noted just how many of the men drank coffee. Some of them were "old." I put two and two together and came up with the answer... drink more coffee! That way I'd live longer! So... I've drank coffee with happy abandon for the last 49 years. It must work... because I'm staying alive! Now... as to what it was I was suppose to be doing later today... I'd better call my wife.

coffee...i have several cups a day...hot & black, no sugar, especially in the morning.

My Grandparents only knew one kind of salad and salad dressing.

Wilted Greens with lots of Bacon Fat Drippings for dressing.

One drank Black coffee, the other with REAL CREAM.

Long Lived TOO!

I completely agree with your findings. Coffee is very beneficial for health. Some people misunderstood and drink more coffee than actually required. Too much coffee can be dangerous, that's a fact. Studies say that 2 cups of coffee is ideal for health benefits.

Coffee's good for you? Who sponsored the study? Juan Valdez?

OK now I just spit my black coffee on the computer with that one.

Now I know I know coffee is good for my kidneys as after a cup or two I head to the outhouse several times to empty out.

For me, there is nothing like my mug of plain black coffee every morning. It's brewed from fresh ground beans that I roast myself. Yum. I'm sure it's better for me than lots of other things I could be doing.

One of my sons works for Starbucks, and he gets a pound of coffee free each week. He doesn't drink coffee at home, and he can drink all he wants at work, so he said he'd give it to me. I love Maxwell House, and I've never liked Starbucks coffee (too strong) so at first I declined...but he said they had a new, milder blend available, Blonde Willow blend, so I gave it a try. It's not bad, not as good as Maxwell House IMO, but it's drinkable, and you can't beat free coffee.

I drink several cups of coffee a day...I make a 10-cup pot when I wake up, and I usually finish most of it during the day.

I once saw a study that said that 80% of coffee studies are 50% correct about 75% of the time. Regardless, I will continue to drink black coffee to the tune of 4-5 cups per day.

I forgot to mention that I don't use creamer in my coffee, but I do like Sweet & Low. I know, some years ago there was a big hoopla about it causing cancer, but it turns out that the lab rats were being fed what would be the equivalent of a human ingesting several pounds of it a day. I use a few packets a day, and I'm going to keep on using it...I don't like the taste of real sugar in my coffee, and besides, I have to cut the calories somewhere to make room for chicken fried steaks!

Coffee, much like bacon or big juicy hamburgers (or sometimes a combination of both), is perfectly healthy when enjoyed in moderation.

My father drank so much of the stuff that it contributed to the hypertension he suffers from to this day.

Drink it fast. Next week it will be bad for you.

Not to worry... The FDA has your back!

They would never allow any food or drugs to harm you!
