Came across this Model 30-1 with 4" tube on consignment at the LGS. Picked it up today and it's everything I thought it was. Serial number puts it around 1969. It's my first Model 30, been looking for one for years it seems. Probably paid too much for it but I don't care.

A nice one !

I'm a fan - I'm down to two but have owned several through the years. Cheap and easy to reload, accurate and a joy to shoot, and I have a sentimental attachment - a .32 was the first center-fire hand gun my father let me shoot. I always associate the gun/cartridge with my memory of him and the event.

Congratulations, nice find BlackSky,
With box, docks & tools you do have a prize. If you like it and are happy then you did just fine. I noticed in the photo of the side plate that it appears to be slightly raised from the frame. Maybe the screw at the trigger guard isn't tight. Be sure to use the proper fitting hollow ground screw driver blade to tighten all of them so as not to scratch the finish or deform the slot. It could also be the way the light reflects causing this but worth checking. You do have a nice revolver Sir! The .32's are among my favorites.

Put the gun down and step away quickly, they are extremely addictive. Uh-oh, looks like you've got it and there is no known cure... the only therapy is frequent trips to the range. Just give up and enjoy it the best you can like the rest of us. ;)
