New to me 1911sce smooth bore?

Here's an update, my 1911 was gone for 15 days and it's back with a new barrel, this one's properly rifled and I expect it will be much more accurate. I'm very happy with S&W's service and glad my 1911 is home!

Just to ask out of curiosity, did you shoot it at targets with the "defective" barrel? Did it have any accuracy at all?

It would have been great for .45ACP shotshells.

I did shoot it and it would shoot some handloads into 4 to 5 inches at 25 yards. I shot it today with the new barrel and the same loads shot into 2.5 to 4 inches which I think is fairly good for a light weight commander in my hands.
