Bought this one last week. Cost me $427.

Equivalent new gun (60-14) in my LGS runs over $700.

I haven't fired it yet but looking forward to it maybe tomorrow. I was drawn to it because of the no-lock and how tight it is. Pretty clean and absolutely no end shake and times up perfect. These are about 20 years old I believe but this one sure doesn't look it.

I changed the grips and put on Hogue Bantams that I prefer.

I have a 60-7 that I normally carry but just couldn't resist adding this one.

60

Great find. I have a weakness when it comes to any model 60 in good condition. No matter how many i have had, I always feel the urge to buy one (and have often acted on the urge) if I see a nice version of one in the case.

I also have a 60-9 and added the old style Pachmyrs without the outside logo. It likes Winchester 357 magnum 110 gr semi-jacketed HP (they shoot to point of impact at 25 yds with the fixed sights) and Hornaday Critical Defense 38 Special in a speedloader to work with it and the back up 642 in my avatar.

I also have a 60-9,I love mine. You got a good price.I think that it was the first model 60 .357 mag.

60-9

Put a few rounds through it yesterday. A variety of .38s including some +P LSWCHP. I didn't have any .357.

Functioned just fine not that I had any doubt it would. The front sight being black and larger than my 60-7 seems easier to pick up. I like the couple ounces of extra weight too.

I believe I will make it my carry gun.

Nice pickup at and a very good price! I pick one up last year and paid $507 delivered, very happy with a 60-9 at that price.

These are to me the almost perfect size for EDC, 357 magnum power in a tight small package, what's not to like? I've since changed mine to the stock S&W goodyears.

Enjoy!

Good score!
Model 60 in 357 is not for everybody. But with 38+P can be shot comfortably by just about anybody.
Great solid guns for EDC.

Nice find, op.

I have a 60-9 that I bought a few years ago.

It was a very early version that Smith had magnaported and came from the factory that way. The ported models were sold through a few distributors in the first year.

I don't remember what I paid, but it was in the 500's.

Better trigger and easier to shoot than most of my J frames.

It's shown with the original grips, but I have Hogue Bantams on it now.
