This is my first attempt at posting pictures. Please bear with me while I get things figured out.

Don't forget about the 3" version!!

Congrats on a nice one. -4s are the best, in my opinion.

Nice gun. I have a 4-inch 686-4. It is one gun I will never sell. Best 686s, in my opinion, are the -4 and -5 guns.

I have a 686-4 with the 8 3/8 barrel. Like animalmother said, it is in the permanent collection.

I am considering sending it to S&W to have the front sight replaced with a patridge blade.

AWESOME!! I love it.

I had to pare down my collection a bit last year, but when I can get back going again I want to eventually have a 686 in that barrel length as well as the other common lengths. Right now I have a 3" and a 6" ported 686-4.

Picked up my first gun last week, a S&W 686-4 PP, 6 inch barrel. Today I had a chance to take it out to the range and test it out. Fired like a dream.

I also have a 686-4 PP. They are great. My wife loves to shoot it more than anything else.

Nice looking revolver you have there. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice gun; I have four L frame 357s that I shoot regularly. The 6 inch no dash was my first handgun and is still the one I shoot the most.

Bullseye Smith: I thought I was cool having a 5 inch 686-5...that 7 inch version out-cools me by a long shot. I've never heard of one. I don't want to hijack another member's thread, but I'd like to know some more about it if you get a chance..thanks.
