I acquired this fine revolver from an equally fine member of this forum. Behold, the 686-4 PC carry comp...
When you see this, you know it will be good...
Here is a retro flashback to the early days of the Smith and Wesson Performance Center, an early 686 PC Carry Comp 7 shooter. This was built before the much maligned internal lock.
She is wearing Ahrends retro banana grip, which is fantastic.
Seven round cylinder, check. Chamfered charge holes, check.
Power port compensator, check.
Trigger over travel stop, check.
Tear drop PC hammer and hammer mounted firing pin, check. Front and rear night sights, check (will "fix" to be only front night sights with new tritium vial)
They really do make performance devices out of the Performance Center...
She is in great shape for being about 20 years old. After a couple of hundred rounds, it is clear that this is a quality piece built to last. I figured you S&W enthusiasts would dig this wheel gun.
