Unfortunately, it is not quite as advertised (why do I ever believe Gunbroker ads??). It was posted as:

"Unfired, in original box with manual, cleaning kit, two magazines and original wrapper. What more can I say..it's a new gun."

Well, it has clearly been fired, and is definitely not "new". However, it is in pretty nice shape. And while it would have been a steal if it had actually been "NIB", I think it is still worth the money (402.60 delivered/transferred). It came with two original mags and the original box, etc. And, it's an early AIP-prefixed serial numbered 3rd generation pistol. Cool...

Interestingly, this pistol - like my other AIP-prefixed 3rd gen - has a half-cock on the hammer.

Gratuitous pictures below (after cleanup/lube).

Looks like a really nice pistol. What cal is the 6900 series?

For what it's worth it could still be NIB as they test fire them all at the factory, and I think all of them get proofed. I've gotten pistols from a reputable dealer I knew for a fact were NIB but still had obvious signs of being fired. Then again, some people have a really loose definition of NIB (i.e., in really great shape with box and papers).

Either way I think you made out.

Nah... This was dirty, with carbon fouling around the barrel and slide. Also, there are some types of wear that only come from repeated firings. Definitely not new.

Thanks for the feedback, though. It does seem like it'll be a nice shooter. It fits the hand much better than I expected (it's my first 69XX series).

69XX are caliber 9mm.

Very nice! I love the compact 9s - I'm carrying a 469 as I write this. Yours is a great pistol, and the extras are icing on the cake. Even though it isn't NIB, I agree that's still a decent price.

This is a great gun...mine is the one I paid the least $$ for but it's the one I shoot the most! Feels good, performs flawlessly, and with the addition of a Lobo holster on the way will be one of my EDC guns.

Doesn't matter if it is NIB or not...you got a great gun at a great price. :D

I no longer have the 6906 pictured as my affliction for black and blue guns has grown!:)

You're lucky, my 6906 is hung up at gunbroker (colecoledist) 8 days since they rec'd payment. No tracking number, looks like I got taken. 350.00, thinking of how to get my money back.

I purchased from him as well and I am still waiting for delivery. I called yesterday until I got someone to talk with and was told mine processed out the door yesterday. Give them a call and ask. I never got an email other than form letters but never any answers.

I have purchased from them with no issues, probably overwhelmed with sales right now due to looming legislation, I wouldn't worry about it.......

What with all the panic buying all the vendors are getting
stuff out real slow. Its hard to remain patient when they
won't even tell you that they are working on your order. I
pray that this won't last a long time...But it IS kind of scary.

I checked gcolecoledis feedback and they are getting feedback from purchases (winners) 3 days after mine. I have no tracking # or confirmation from cole that they rec'd payment. Good old post office sez they signed for it 1/4/2013, so I can get my money back. But that 6906 was going to be my next project.

Try giving them a call on Monday, I always dealt with them over the phone, and I thought they were great people to deal with.....

I've bought a few guns from them and they have all been as described, or better. I would give them some time, it should all end up fine, it's probably just them getting swamped, like every other gun place is lately.

Same here, never a problem and always better than described. Every dealer is back up right now. Did they have your FFLs license on file or did he have to send it to them because that could hold you up. When a dealer sells a gun all the ducks must be in a row i's dotted and t's crossed or he does 10 years in prison. I would contact your FFL to see what the hold up is.

I sent a copy of ffl with postal money order, my ffl also fax'd a copy(for their records), thats not the problem. Re dial for a couple of hours phone no go. They dont use the gunbroker tools for notifying buyer of ffl and money order receipt. Gunbroker really has no recourse with a seller run a muck. Not like Ebay that has some buyer protection.

They are closed Friday through Sunday, try back on Monday, I would bet it's just the volume of panic buys that's causing the back-up......I bought from them last year and received an email with tracking number the next day after purchase....received gun the day after that.....I really wouldn't worry.....gun dealers are overwhelmed right now, just check the lines at local gun shows, it's crazy.....

+1 on grif684. I bought my 469 from gcole and would definitely do business with them again.

Just a suggestion: if they cash that postal money order, and you kept the customer's copy so you can prove who you sent it to, and you don't get your merchandise, speak to the post office about potential mail fraud. Even if gunbroker has no recourse against sellers run amok, a federal postal inspector knocking on the seller's door asking Whiskey Tango Foxtrot might get something moving for you....

Good luck in any case.
