New to me Model 14-4

I recently bought a Model 14-4 off GB for use as a range gun, and I am relatively pleased with it. Shortly after I bought it, I change stocks on it and I noticed a couple of unknown graphics that have been "written" onto the grip frame. One is an "R" in a circle, the other is a "P" inside of a triangle. I am wondering if the R means "re-blue", but I don't have a clue as to what the "P" means. Can anyone help me out with this? (Sorry I don't have pictures of it.)

Thanks EricR, but I am without a working camera at them moment. Its pretty much as I said, with the stocks off, at the bottom of the grip frame nearest the front of the gun, there is a capital "R" inside a 3/16" diameter circle, and toward the back of the frame there is capital "P" inside a triangle that measures approximate 3/16 on each side (an equilateral triangle - HA! remembered that from high school!). Both of these graphics were applied before bluing - there is no bare metal.

I bought this gun as a shooter, not as a collector, so if it has gone back to the mother ship to be re-blued that is fine, I am just trying to learn what these graphics mean.
