Just bought a model 36-7, it is in decent shape, carried a lot shot very little grips are original, varnish has wore off, has a small freckle on the frame. This looks like a cool little snubby. Anybody know any back ground on the dash 7 model, I snagged it for $360. I like that it has a steel frame. For the price I couldn't pass it up

The 36-7 was the variation that gave us the slightly wider front sight (from 1/10" to 1/8") in 1990. I have an older model and that 1/10" sight is trouble for my old eyes. Looks like you did well. Have fun.

That looks almost new to me. I'm a big fan of the 36s! Could we have a range report? Some think the 36s with the short bbl are not accurate, fed a good accurate load they are very accurate. Enjoy!
Congratulations!

What's the story on ammo, can this 36-7 handle +P, I notice its not marked as such. I don't want to actually shoot many rounds of it, but I do like to carry with +p. It would seem to me that if the alloy frame guns can handle it then this one certainly should.

The 36-7 is a great revolver. I had one, but traded it even for a mint, in the box, 640ND. I had no regrets getting the 640, but I really regretted parting with the 36-7. Haven't run across a nice 36-7 since, but I did get a decent 60-7 last year. As far as I know the 36-7 is ok for +P ammo.
