After taking a very close look at the grips in question, if they are not original to the gun, they still have been on the gun a long time. I see slight dents in grip edges that carry over to the metal exactly perfect. The grips will remain on the gun no matter what but I will have to get it lettered to know for sure. I think the number written is from somebody after it left factory for whatever reason.
