Picked up this 457 off the big board for what I consider a reasonable price.
Took it down for a field strip and inspection. Surprisingly clean on the inside, with minor edge wear. Not even any real dirt behind the extractor! No lube left inside, must have had an ultrasonic bath. Definitely not a safe queen, but in really good shape!
Standard chip out of the mag safety area.
Replaced the recoil springs, gave it a light clean and lube.
Good to go!

Definitely has been shot a bit. You're more brave than I removing the extractor. ;)

Nice pick up. There don't seem to be as many of them out there as some years ago. People seem to have discovered what a great shooting bargain they are.

Took the 457 to the range today for a trial run. 50 rounds of S&B 230 grain later, no hiccups cycled like a champ.
