New to the MP 15-22 and this forum

Hello to all,

I have been lurking in the shadows for a couple weeks now while doing my research. I just bought a 15-22 this weekend at a local gun show. I picked it up for 450 with an extra mag, which is a great price for my area. It was customized before I got it home. lol. It now has a front grip/pop out bipod and a scope/laser combo optic. I am now biting my fingernails in anticipation of getting to the range. If all goes well I will put several hundred rounds through it this weekend.

Well I just thought I would introduce myself and say thank you for all the helpful posts you have provided. Glad to be a part of this great forum. I will post photos soon.

Welcome Joe. I also bought my 15-22 at a gun show in September, and have had non-stop fun with it ever since. My S&W 22A pistol is now 'gathering dust' in the gun safe as I'm shooting the 15-22 exclusively with the SR9 now. Since you've been watching this sight prior to buying maybe many of your questions have been answered, but if not, we're here to do that.

Oh yes, we want to see pictures and a range report ASAP.

Well I never did claim to have any patience. I decided to go to the range after work today. Started off with FTEs and Stove Pipes every couple of rounds. The rifle is a DUU with blue springs. Decided to tweak the ejector a bit and things got much better. Last three 25 round magazines I only had one FTE. I will keep an eye on it and send it back in if I have more problems with it(or tweak the ejector a bit more ). I took some pictures but the camera battery was dying so they aren't the best. All in all it was a blast and I had a good group out to 50ft (indoor pistol type range mostly). I haven't had this much fun since my rifle range days long ago. It's official, I'm addicted.

Took my second trip to the range today. 275 rounds of Federal 550 from Wal-Mart with 1 FTE and 25 CCI minimags with no problems. This is extremely improved from the last visit. I am very pleased with this rifle. The accuracy of this rifle is impressive as well.
