New Tool Box Picture (My new safe)

It's not a tool box.
It's not a toy box.
It's a Hope Chest. :D

bmhiii (& others):

Nice "hope chest". Fill 'er up.

From the picture, it looks like the new safe is sitting on the hardwood floor of the den/office. The small footprint and mass put a fair load on a small area. Did you beef up the floor joists? (Sorry if this is a stupid question but I would put a safe like that (he said with envy) on the concrete floor of the basement or else I'd lie awake at night waiting for it to crash through the floor.)

Aloha,

A lot of the married guys, whose Wives are into guns know what I'm saying when I say His and Hers gun safes.

This way we have more room for more of my guns and her guns, plus what ever else she wants to put into hers :-)

Works for us.

What I'd really like is what a friend has, an air conditioned walk in room for ALL the toys. When one son left the nest, the bedroom was sealed and converted into a big toy room. He even got the full sized safe door to go with it.

Congrat's on your new safe! I still remember the first time we left home after my new safe and what a good feeling it was. Yeah I know, but these safes will stop most all of your typical smash and grabbers. Definitly bolt it down, I was amazed to see the large and heavy stuff those morons will cart off.

Is there such a thing as "big enough?" ;)

That is a very nice safe! I might suggest some rope lighting for the inside as a nice touch- it works for me.

They are never big enough.

I've been considering a safe myself, though I don't have any room for one. How is this one secured? Lag bolts in the floor?

Generally there are holes in the bottom to bolt them down.

You should have asked for a price break if you purchase 2, because you will eventually need it.:D

Been there done that.
